Why months and years are approximate
Seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks are fixed: an hour is always 3,600 seconds. Months and years are not. A month is 28, 29, 30 or 31 days depending which one, and a year is 365 or 366 days.
So that a conversion still has an answer, this converter uses the Gregorian averages: 1 year = 365.2425 days and 1 month = 30.436875 days — a year divided by twelve. Those are the right numbers for general estimates, and they are what most reference tables use.

How do I convert minutes to hours?
Divide the number of minutes by 60. So 90 minutes is 1.5 hours and 450 minutes is 7.5 hours. Enter the figure above and the converter does it for you.
How many seconds are in a day?
86,400 — that is 24 hours × 60 minutes × 60 seconds. A week is 604,800 seconds.
How many hours are in a week?
168 hours, which is 7 days × 24 hours. A standard 40-hour working week is just under a quarter of that.
Why is a month shown as 30.44 days and not 30?
Because months vary in length. 30.436875 days is the average month in the Gregorian calendar — a year of 365.2425 days divided by twelve. Using a flat 30 would drift by roughly five days a year.
Can I convert decimal amounts?
